Cambridge School is a special secondary school in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Currently our admissions team admit students into our school from Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and several other London boroughs.
Local Authority SEND departments are responsible for all admissions (phased and mid-term) to the school and any consultation must go through them.
Students attending Cambridge School must have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school population consists of pupils from a diverse range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds with a wide range of needs – including Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
As a part of the admissions process, parents and carers are invited to the school to learn more about the range of provisions offered. We encourage potential students to visit along with their families as their views are extremely valuable. Local Authority SEND departments will confirm the placement and name Cambridge School on the EHCP. Applications for any transport arrangements need to be made via your Local Authority.
Once a placement has been agreed, parents/carers are invited to school to have an admissions meeting. This is where the relevant information is shared to ensure your child’s learning, health and wellbeing needs are met. Transition sessions for the new students starting Year 7 in September, will take place in the summer term of Year 6. This is a great opportunity for new students to meet their peers and the staff members in preparation for starting in September.
