Dear Parent/Carer,
A very warm welcome to Cambridge School! Here at Cambridge, we are striving to provide an outstanding education for our amazing students and families. The school caters for students with a wide range of needs and conditions, ranging from children with autism (ASC) through to those who are experiencing social, emotional and mental health conditions (SEMH). We have two mighty pods which operate as separate departments within our school, the powerful Atlantic and Pacific pods. Students in Atlantic tend to have issues with social communication whilst those in Pacific experience anxiety and have struggled in other educational settings.
What is standard throughout the school community, no matter whether a child is In Atlantic or Pacific pod, is a commitment to challenge, enrich and empower each child. Our mantra is “Learning for Life, Learning for Work” and we aim to maximise the potential and capacity of every learner so that they can live an independent and rewarding life as active citizens in our society. Our five core values are focused on achieving this ambition; our students are nurtured within a safe and stable school community where they are taught to respect themselves and each other. We teach our learners to be adaptable and show empathy to others in a school where equality is the governing principle. We are proud of our students and we would love to show you our community in action.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at school if you require any further information or wish to pay us a visit to see Cambridge School for yourself. Please email me on head@cambridge.lbhf.sch.uk
Yours sincerely,
Alan Campbell
